I wouldn’t wish this virus on my worst enemy but maybe these rule breakers need a good dose of Covid to understand what all the fuss is about.  I firmly believe only a low percentage so far (approx 5% of the population) have really had it, and that many who say it is just like flu or a common cold probably only had just that. The tests are not 100% accurate, so the covid deniers don’t even understand what they are denying unless they know for 100% certain they experienced a hit of covid. Yesterday I went into Waft coffee in my mask to get a take out coffee, I waited outside until it was ready to collect, there was a women in her 30s with no mask on stood hanging around over the counter waiting for her coffee and refusing to side step for people in masks who wanted to collect theirs to take out.  When I politely asked her to give me space she called me a sheep. Later on I went to Poundland to collect some printing paper and a woman of a similar age walked straight up to me, mask under her chin, so close she was touching my arm to pick items off the shelf, when I asked if she could at least wait all of 3 seconds whilst I collected what I wanted, instead of getting this close, she said ‘you must be sick in the head’.  How hard it is for people to just attempt to try and live in a collectivist society so we can try our best to manage this situation the best we can, avoid tighter measures and death counts. That being said, the fundamental issues here is schooling. I don’t think I’ve heard one person who does not have children or lives alone say they should be excluded from measures because they are more likely to be book ends to this virus than households with multiple occupancies or multi generational households. My only conclusion with this is our Gov has been so confusing and contradictory that with such weak leadership you can only expect weak behavioural outcomes in society.
