Ian, you obviously don't live on Park Road and any observations you have made must have been undertaken at 5am. The traffic is unbelievable, in both volume and speed. Unlike Staveley Road, this road is not fit for purpose. It cannot withstand this volume of traffic, which has increased massively since these measures were put in place. My CCTV shows this clearly. Not only does this pose a danger for residents, it poses a danger for both pedestrians and, ironically, the very cyclists that this initiative was intended to help. The more vehicles in Park Road will naturally increase the chances of there being an incident. Further, with vehicles being forced to drive through Park Road, pollution levels will sky rocket. This is the exact opposite effect of what these initiatives are meant to achieve. Kindly re-evaluate your misleading, uninformed and dangerous statement.
