Where can I get flu jab

Despite being vulnerable myself (Hospital advised me to get a flu jab) and a carer. I am unable to get a flu jab at my local GP until November.  Can anyone suggest somewhere. Happy to pay.

Boots in Kew do them. phone or book on line. Also the chemists on chiswick highroad. I don't remember the name, but its the green one near hotel chocolate. Again, you'll need an appointment i guess. Boots was about £14.00

Boots in Kew (and I think I read all Boots branches) have currently suspended bookings for the flu jab. If you're under 65 it's nigh on impossible to get one, as there aren't stocks. I'm in the same position - good luck!

A GP on the BBC yesterday said that they order in the vaccine in March as they have a reasonable idea of their needs and there is generally some leeway for extra doses if required. However, this year the government had impounded the excess. It seems Tesco's pharmacies have also cancelled all jabs. Another of the government's 'world beating' wheezes goes t*ts up.

AlinaGo to Campbells Chemists on Chiswick High Road and you can just walk in I recommended them to a friend on Sunday and she walked in yesterday and had her Flu Jab straight away

For the record. Because of COVID more people than ever are deciding to get the flu jab. 4 days ago "In England a total of 369 Tesco pharmacies will offer the flu jab. Tesco Pharmacy has also ordered more jabs than ever before, and plans are in place to order more if customer demand is high, the pharmacy chain has said in a release"  "Tesco Pharmacy, Cancer Research UK, British Heart Foundation, and Diabetes UK have joined hands to urge people at risk to get the flu jab, with a focus on vulnerable groups, including ethnic minorities" "In a support to push the vaccination drive, Tesco Pharmacy is making the vaccination as convenient as the weekly shop"

Most pharmacies do the flu jab. I've taken my dad to have one numerous times at various pharmacies by just walking in and asking. Much easier than bothering trying to get a doctor's appointment.

Alina, you can try booking on Lloyd’s Pharmacy, they’re inside the Sainsbury’s in Essex Pl. You should be able to book through their website. It was £12.99. It’s ridiculous that your GP can’t book you in despite being vulnerable, though!

Sounds like your GP practice has some sort of a problem. I booked a flu jab at my surgery with no difficulty while my wife was told just to come along to one of their dedicated flu clinics on a Saturday. I happened to be at the practice today for routine blood sample harvesting and I asked the nurse if they had plenty of vaccine as I had read it might be in short supply. She said they had plenty.
