I think it is going to open soon-ish. I spoke with the bar manager at The Steam Packet a few weeks ago - I *think* the same company owns both. He certainly mentioned The Roebuck reopening.

They've missed a trick by not managing to re-open while the sun was (& is) shining.Can't think the same company will own both as The Roebuck still has the Food & Fuel lockdown message on the front door which you'd assume would have been swapped out for a positive update around a return...

As mentioned in another thread on this topic, personally I'm hoping for a refresh in both the staff and management as that's why I (& other regulars) started to drift away - the decline post Henry, Lloyd and their team was marked.Would imagine a change in menu if new ownership.
Their loos could do with a serious 'refresh' too.

Steam Packet is owned by Brunning & Price. Log onto The Roebucks web and you're redirected to Brunnings web site, but there's no mention of the Roebuck in their pub listings.

The Duke in Richmond it’s sister pub also still closed.
Signs of life...Works taking place inside yesterday and the previous F&F closure note on the door has been replaced with a new message around a re-opening (no date mentioned, steers you to social media and an in the pipeline website)

This site reported back in July that Brunning and Price had acquired the Roebuck's lease from the administrator. As this was a related party transaction the terms were probably quite favourable including no rent payable in the event of a second lockdown.
