Kew Retail Park Parking Fine

I went to Kew Retail Park on Friday afternoon and on leaving realised that I may have been about five, possibly ten, minutes over the four hour time limit which is referred to on the rather sparse number of parking notices dotted around the car park.  Has anyone done the same recently and were you sent a penalty charge notice in the post? How much over the four hour limit were you? How many days after the event was it that you received the postal fine? I'm just wondering how efficient their ANPR system is. Thanks in advance.

Kew Retail Park at one time wanted to stop the car park from being an unofficial park and ride into Richmond, which I happen to think is a good Idea, but the retail Park think differently.Kew record office had the smae problem as well but they have stopped that now.I would think their ANPR system would be pretty good. MacDonald have a similar system for the over stay on their car parks, as the letter you receive in about a week has a good photo of you Index Plate arriving and departing their car park.

The National Archives now charge for parking, so perhaps some will park in  the Kew Retail car park and walk the short distance to the archives?

Jim it’s quite simple. In the past I have parked in the retail park for free and got on the bus to Richmond. Do your shopping and get the bus back.That’s been done for years. But like anything else in life there’s always get a few who started to park in the Kew records office, so now they charge.The retail park came up with their idea of giving a parking time limit of four hours.You will also find the Mac Donald do the same they give you a two hour limit for parking in the free car parks.
