Watch out in Bedford Park

At 11 40pm we have just had repeated knocking and ringing on the door. We had gone to bed. It was “Josh” claiming his dad down the road had fallen off a ladder and he needed money to get a cab to hospital. Fortunately we recognised it as a fraud, but at this time of night, it could easily cause a scare. We will be reporting it.

Came here to post the same message. We got the same person. Joshua. Also had someone a few days ago (only spoke through the door so don't know if it was the same person) saying they needed money to visit their mum in hospital. Don't know if it's begging or looking for empty houses or both. These are awful times for many, so could be either. Stay safe.

Someone like Darren needs rehabilitation.Part of me thinks he does it for sympathy and attention. It’s very sad all round. He seems lost in the system and appears to always be alone.

Apparently there is a thread on Next Door about this con man. He  was  recorded  by a friend on a Ring door bell. It is not I believe Darren Bingham.
