I've just had a private eye op. performed in the London Eye Clinic. It was cancelled the day before back in March because of Covid (The Harley Street Hospital was taken over by the NHS for their cancer patients - lucky patients!) Anyhow finally,my eye surgeon has been allowed to operate again but the day before I had to go have a fast track Covid Swab test in Harley St. It was done in 5 mins. the nurse then walked me back to the road and my car, she crossed over to a laboratory opposite. I was phoned mid afternoon, all clear I was to report the following day for my op. OK it was private but the NHS has been using many private hospitals for their nonCovid patients so why the hell can't they use these fast track labs as well. If they consider Covid testing vital for the population it should be made as fast and as easy as possible for everyone to have it done.
