Sofa Workshop

The showroom area was been completely cleared a few days ago and there are no signs of life. What's going on?On a more positive note, there is a lot of activity in the shop on the the corner of Dukes Ave by what looks like shop fitters.Let's hope it's going to be something useful, like an estate agent for example!😂😂😂

I think it has been suggested elsewhere on this Forum that the former CPW shop is going to be a dentist.  What an attraction for the High Road.

Its on a long temp basis as a relocation form the Chiswick Health centre. Its called relocating nearby

I am not sure that a dentist needs a high street presence, even temporarily, and detracts from the balance of Chiswick High Road as a (dwindling) retail attraction.  But then again better than an empty unit?

According to the Sofa Workshop website they have been taken over by a new company, have cleared all the shops and will reopen them, rebranded late Sept, early October. Just google Sofa Workshop.

Philip CoeWhere else do you expect the dental part of the health centre to go?As the heath centre will be closed for at least four years while its redeveloped.I believe the Heath Centre itself is going to move to a NHS location in Stanford Brook Avenue (behind Kwik-Fit tyres on the Goldhawk Road) But there isn't room for all the Dentistry.

The move to CHR isn’t temporary since even when the new health centre is built, there will no space for the dentists. The dentists are greatly looking forward to moving in 2021 and expanding their service where it will be close to where they are now and easily accessible.
