Fridge working inefficiently
The fitted fridge in our new flat doesn't function terribly efficiently, as follows.Items left at the front - and in the door of the fridge especially - don't chill very well eg butter is runny. And the exterior of the fridge door is warm to the touch, as is the knife drawer built in above the fridge.Yet the fridge interior at the back is extra cold. That is, butter left at the back freezes solid, indeed there is a permanent frosting of ice on the interior back wall of the fridge.I'm not completely certain that the fridge door closes as tight as it ought, so might it be that the seal isn't tight enough, causing the motor to work harder to expel warm air from inside, which explains both the effective cooling at the back and the warmth around the front and top of the fridge?
