Testing for the virus

Could you advise me if people must pay for the covid 19 - testing - I find this will stop people doing this - it just makes me wondering ?

hmm.Ours was done by a pack sent to our house, no testing except remotely.It is a bit of a struggle and I'm not sure about the 100% validity as the swab might have not reached the area rquired.

If through the NHS it's free, but you will probably need to have some symptoms or be contacted by track and trace to qualify.  If you just want to know if you have been exposed, I think you will  have to pay for a private kit. As you probably know, there is a scam going round where someone pretends to contact you from NHS track and trace and says you have been identified as having been in close proximity to someone who has tested positive, insists that you must by law have to have a test kit sent to you and tries to get you to pay them £50.00 or more on your credit card.  Apparently many people have fallen for it.

We are both on the COVID Symptom study app., and got an invite to take a test.I suggest everyone gets the app if they can.  The more the better.Over 4,066,263  people presently contributing.Search Covid Symptom Study on your phone if you have a smartphone.Together we stand???divided we are doomed??

You can get free tests on the NHS to see if you currently have covid but you need to pay a private clinic to get an antibody test to see if you previously had it.I would strongly advise avoiding the Corona test centre that was linked to above - they are charging twice what BUPA do for antibody tests, they charge for covid tests which the NHS are providing for free, and they are backed by the rather unsavoury Karol Sikora https://www.farrightwatch.net/2020/06/the-right-wings-favourite-crazy.html?m=1
