Heel spur operation has anyone had

Has anyone had an operation to remove a bony heel spur. Looking for surgeon/consultant recommendations. Thanks

I have had three Haglund's spurs removed (keyhole surgery, day case). Quite a simple procedure that takes around 30-40 minutes, normally under regional anaesthesia (spinal block).Mr.Rhidian Thomas, opeartes both privately and also at Charing Coss Hospital.

I've had a similar procedure under Mr Thomas' care including a spinal block. Satisfied with the operation (at Parkside), less so with the efficiency/demeanour of his office.

Thank you that’s very helpful. Have been told it’s a complex procedure. Many Medics avoid and prefer to offer physio. Which has done absolutely nothing. And when you think about it logically why would physio work?

Up and about same afternoon.Two stitches out the following week/ten days.Physio (simple routine stated when the stitches came out) and normality returned withon four weeks.Sadly the Haglund's procedure in my case revealed calcification inside my Achilles tendons which, thirteen procedures later, has been deemed inoperable by all three surgeons consulted.
