Thames Road junction with Kew Bridge; closed

Any idea how long this junction will be closed? I don't remember getting notification of this closure.Not much signage around to warn drivers either.

But strand on the green /Thames Road junction with Kew Bridge wasn't meant to be closed off.It was going to have Cameras at Kew Bridge end and cameras near at the Grove Park Terrace junction with Thames Road.If you entered at Kew Bridge and drove along Thames Road and pass the other camera, you will be considered a rat runner and fined. Have LBOH changed their minds or has the road been closed due to the work being carried out at Kew Bridge

Thames Road has no junction with Kew Bridge.  Please explain what is closed.  The exit from Strand on the Green to Kew Bridge?  And the entry to Strand on the Green from Kew Bridge?

There is a road closure at the junction of Strand on the Green and Kew Bridge. No entry off Kew Bridge no exit onto Kew Bridge. It appears to be work associated with CS9. Road closed sign opposite Pier House.. No prior notice or warning to local residents.

Yes, no ability to turn left to go over Kew bridge, nor go straight over to Brentford or right towards the roundabout, nor entry from any direction into Thames Road.Bit of a surprise this morning.

A much simpler solution than the proposed 'Access Only' with cameras with possible exemption for Grove Park residents. SOTG residents might learn to like it if stops all through traffic.

SOTG residents may get to like it but doubt the rest of the GP residents will.  We want to be able to get in and out of our enclave south of the A4.  The through traffic is mostly during the rush hours M-F.  It would be good to ban all heavy goods lorries from using GP and especially SOTG as a cut through, they should only be permitted for large deliveries to residents.Over weekends, lengthy light changes at Hartington Rd and A316 can cause big pile ups as cars struggle to enter and leave the ROKO Club - not helped by the chicane which gets jammed too.  It will be even worse when they complete the new road into the commercialized sports grounds and rowing clubs opposite ROKO with cars and coaches.

Is it still closed or is the exit to Kew bridge a temporary thing?    Also, today there are temporary lights at the end of Grove Park Road, just before the humpbacked bridge.Are they just trying to imprison the inhabitants of Grove Park?

LBOH is trying to starve us out. There are to many older people living in the Riverside and Homefields wards. They are creating a circular road, where they hope we want notice we are going around in circles and never leave the erea .

Any idea how long it will take to drive from Cavendish/Hartington Rds to GP Surgery opposite Chiswick Station?  Via GP humpty railway bridge or via A316 left at Staverley Rd?

Going by what’s been quoted on the forum about ten minuets taking the A316 Depending on the time of day.When the school streets are constructed you will have to drive further along the A316 to turn left into Burlington lane.But I am surprised that Grove Park Surgery are letting any patients through the door.

They are not!  I'm shielded so not entering the surgery at all.

"If you entered at Kew Bridge and drove along Thames Road and pass the other camera, you will be considered a rat runner and fined."I really object to that, I live in Hartington Rd I'm no rat runner,- I just want to be able to drive quickly and safely to and from my family in Old Brentford without having to sit in major traffic routes stop and starting with idling car engine.

I don't really understand your answer to my reply.As depending on the time of day, it should only take about 10 minuets if someone is dropping or collecting something for you.

"If you entered at Kew Bridge and drove along Thames Road and pass the other camera, you will be considered a rat runner and fined."I posted a similar objection on this forum about a week ago, and got a few gentlemen, replying "tough luck" you will just have to go the longer way round.Although our MP rarely gets involved in what the council gets up to, I think it maybe worth having a word with her to see what she things of the traffic measures, as a long term Brentford resident and ex councilor.
