stile hall gardens

We are thinking of moving to this road, just wondering if anyone knows about level of street pollution & airplane noise.

Street pollution will have been substantially reduced since the road was closed to through traffic.  Previously a queue of traffic blocking the entire street was a nightly occurrence.  Now there is just the occasional vehicle.Airplane noise... not much different from anywhere else in the area.The backs of houses on the south side of the street face towards the South Western railway line so trains can be audible, particularly the occasional freight train.

Thank you. Yes I’m sure blocking off access has made a big difference for local residents. Slight concern is the spillover of pollution from Chiswick roundabout & A4/M4.

Animesh, you can see detailed pollution maps at www.londonair.org.ukThe western end of Stile Hall Gardens gets pollution from the S Circular but the rest of the street is too far away to get the really bad pollution from the A4.The rat run routes through Grove Park (Thames Rd, Hartington Rd, Sutton Court Rd and so on) all have more pollution than Stile Hall Gardens as they have thousands of cars per day along them while Stile Hall Gardens will be down in the low hundreds.

Thank you. I note the maps are based on 2016 data & assume with the cut through being closed , air quality would have improved significantly. Thanks again
