Food Market Dukes Meadows back on this Sunday
Dukes Meadows Trust is pleased to be able to support stallholders and customers by reopening the food market on Sunday 14th June - 10am to 2pm. The first month’s proceeds from running the market will be donated to Chiswick School’s breakfast club.To manage numbers in the market, to maintain social distancing, people may be asked to queue 2 meters apart at the entrance, and at stalls. There will be just one entrance to the market from Alexandra Gardens, people will be able to walk through from Promenade Approach to the alleyway between the Bowls Green and allotments into the park and back, but not to access the market from those access points. Stallholders will only accept card payments. There will be no seating available in the market and the public loo will be closed. This is to manage distancing and contact risk. All our regular stalls will be back selling; vegetables, fruit and juices, cheese, meat, bread, raw milk products and baked goods, plus some takeaway food, so people will be able to buy the foods they have been missing out on.We're grateful for advice from Hounslow Council's enforcement team in planning to reopen. Dukes Meadows Trust is a community based charity that works to improve and maintain Dukes Meadows Park. The Food Market Chiswick is one of the charity’s social enterprises
