Covid-19 and blood type

Interesting suggestion that your blood type may affect how badly you react to Covid-19, with type As noticeably more likely to need hospitalisation and ventilation. Type O may be protective.If you're Type A, maybe you should be extra careful.Full disclosure: like most Celts, I'm type O!

That suggestion first  surfaced quite early in the pandemic. I've not seen anything since to support or deny the theory. There are so may variables with this virus that it's hard to know what to think. I'm type A, well over 60, and could do with losing a few pounds so I won't be doing much for a while yet!

I saw this quite early: it was a study in China. I took note as I’m group A but have seen no confirmation.
