What future for the High Road post Covid?

Chiswick High Road was already suffering pre-Covid what the effects post-Covid will be I dread to think - however I was wondering what the much talked up Task Force was planning to help the struggling retailers. I understand the Task Force leader thinks the Council is placing too much weight on the problems facing retail business - perhaps she might share her own plans with us.

This isn’t fair. There is a list of shops. Bike shops can be found in other listings services like Google.

The High Road is looking a bit down but great to see Waft open again for takeaways. They opened just before lockdown. And the phone booths on Turnham Green seem to be doing pretty well. Both serve good coffee.

I listened in to a webinar organised by two local property people yesterday evening.Apparently still demand for properties for food and "experience" type services (health, fitness, beauty, medical) that can't be replicated online.

Definitely. Retail is only one part of a what will make a successful high street and not a huge at that.
