Flyover Troubles
I’ve never understood why there are two metal posts at the entrance to the Chiswick flyover. I realise it deters wide vehicles from entering but they also create anxiety for some drivers and a graveyard of side view mirrors. And the posts are proven to not deter the vehicles they are supposed to stop. Surely the better solution is a height restrictor (metal post at the correct height) to keep out the vans, trucks, busses and campers. Legally permitted vehicles would then be able to freely enter the flyover without risk to their vehicle.
