KenYou're missing the point.How else is the government going to hit its Herd Immunity target?Contrary to their assumptions, we all followed the rules & locked down and even were a bit more careful than they had hoped. As a result the R number dropped a bit too quickly. (excl the "care home thing" which must be considered a great success within the inner cabinet)Depsite well publicised attempts to persuade us not to follow the rules or act sensibly - we've all still been a bit too careful.This presents a problem - because there is no plan for "contain" (or much else). That would mean hard work and good goverment...So instead, the only way out is for us all to get Covid.Encouraging people to go out, mix, party, drink, hug, work etc are all good things now - they need us ALL to get the virus.Onces we've either survived or died we can get back to rebuilding the economy and on the plus side we don't need to wait or pay for a vaccine!
