Buses returning to front boarding

From tomorrow over 100 London bus routes will return to boarding by the front door, with payment taken again.At present, this doesn't seem to apply to any of the buses that run through Chiswick, although more routes will be added by the middle of June.I guess it'll make things seem a bit less weird.

Looking at the E3 over this week i dont think il be getting on any bus soon. Mind you,i tend to walk even if its some miles away and ive time. It cant be fun for anyone who relies on a bus and cant walk far. Touch and go with people and masks to boot

Numbers on a double-decker will be restricted to 20 -- or 25, at the driver's discretion.The E3s passing my house are all-but empty.

267 is returning to paid boarding this weekend but through the middle doors.

The 267 is one of the newer buses, so it has tap-in machines by the middle door.

Oh, right. Last time I used a 267 it wasn't one of those.

And, before the lockdown, passengers on the 267 and similar  buses were being barred from using the middle and rear doors because of the ease of fare evasion. Money was spent on publicising this move, and warning stickers were in place on the two offending doors. All wasted now.
