Hammersmith to Putney

Hi all, I am supposed to bike to Putney later in the week but remember reading something about that the river paths were shut for bikes a few weeks ago, do anyone know whether that's still the case?

HI Ulrica,Yes the riverpath is closed from Hammersmith Mall to Putney bridge between 10am and 6pm to both cyclists and runners. if you are cycling during the hours mentioned above for the Hammersmith mall/linden house section divert onto the A4 shared path and for the Hammersmith riverside section towards Bishops park you can continue on the Hammersmith backstreets parallel to the river which are generally quiet,  just take care on the cross roads. Hope that helps. PS - If its a nice day and you have a suitable bike you could take southside tow path direct to Putney.

PS - If its a nice day and you have a suitable bike you could take southside tow path direct to Putney. As far as I know its open to everyone but could be worth checking if you opt for the southside towpath.
