Does anyone know anything about spider/insect bites?
Morning. Be interested if anyone can help me identify something that bit me whilst trying to tidy up in my garden shed yesterday. I went to pick up an old bag of compost and felt a sharp pain at the base of one of my fingers... I quickly looked time and saw something moving under my hand! Being a bit of an arachnophobe my first reaction was to throw the bag to the floor and run back into the house! I only briefly saw a mid brown shape - not sure it was even a spider because it all happened so quick. What I did have were two tiny puncture wounds about 5mm apart on my finger - whatever it was drew blood.Anyway, ventured back into the shed a bit later, but couldn't find any trace of what had bitten me. Although initially a bit painful, it clearly wasn't poisonous, as no subsequent signs of swelling, etc. although it did shake me up!! I would just love to find out what it was, partly for piece of mind! Does anyone have any suggestions as to what might have done this? I didn't think we had any biting spiders or insects in the UK!
