Elmwood Road has a history of incidents.I recall 50 years ago when a passing aircraft dropped a pair of pliers from it's opening undercarriage.... which damaged the roof of a house (no doubt missing a parked car..or an innocent resident.)

Apparently there's a drug war in Chiswick and the car was torched in a dispute about the valuable Fauconberg turf. It is true that various dodgy dealings go on round there.
