Chiswick House, dog owners

Item 3 on the notices that abound..."We have not changed our dog control areas where dogs are prohibited or must be on leads but when the estate is busier, we respectfully ask dog walkers to walk dogs on leads to allow the maximum room for others to exercise."Does owning a dog excuse you from reading this notice when the gardens are busy?

Dogs on leashes unless they are in the segregated sections just for dogs should be the rule.There are kids in the park,  dogs are a potential safety hazard.

I've instigated a new policy of giving dogs that run up when I'm out social distancing with the kids get a kick aimed at the chops now.

Why would you consider such a thing? Most dogs would just move away from anyone who ignores them. They are harmless and the vast majority in Chiswick are just friendly and enjoying getting some exercise.

Never understood all this bagging up dog poo when, if left to itself, it surely decomposes into a harmless white powder - at least that's what I recall it did when I was a child.
