"I think the Flu mortality figure for 2014/15 is 28,330.""then a virus comes along, which still hasn’t killed as many people as what died from flu in the 2014/15 flu season."I think the essence of the second statement might still be true (compared to your figure of 28330), but even if it is (we don't know how many of the deaths in Care Homes are due to COVID19 but haven't been recorded as such), it won't be for much longer. Whether your figures in the first statement are correct or not I don't know, but the flu season lasts a lot longer than the 4-6 weeks that it took for the number of COVID19 deaths to surpass your Flu mortality figure for 2014/2015. As you know significantly more people died as a result of flu in the 2014/2015 flu season, than in any of the other seasons in the last 10 years (see)https://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/articles/highestnumberofexcesswinterdeathssince19992000/2015-11-25andhttps://www.ons.gov.uk/peoplepopulationandcommunity/birthsdeathsandmarriages/deaths/bulletins/excesswintermortalityinenglandandwales/2015to2016provisionaland2014to2015final#respiratory-diseases-caused-most-excess-winter-deathsIt looks like you're correct that the additional deaths where there is no mention of COVID19 are significantly higher than normal in weeks 13-16, and some of those probably wouldn't have occurred without the lock down, but the vastly larger number of COVID19 infections without lock down would have resulted in far more eventual COVID19 deaths and increased the non-COVID19 deaths arising from the medical services being unable to cope with the demand on them, so I don't accept what I think you're trying to imply, namely that the non-COVID19 deaths (above the average) would have been lower if there was no lock down.Road Deaths are insignificant as far as these figures go - the average is 4-5 a day I think.I have to say I would far rather listen to the music that Chris has composed and the recordings he has contributed to than listening to the things you make up, but each to his own.
