Rough Sleepers

I am really pleased that many people sleeping on the streets have now been provided with accommodation. I hope that this will lead to them being provided with permanent places to sleep. Can anybody advise whether, once they receive accommodation, they are also provided with food?

I am volunteering once a week at a hotel which has been converted into a hostel - 120 homeless - they do get food - not sure who pays for it. The clients (as they are called) are so grateful and lovely - and always ask how you are. Whilst they are there help is given to find permanent accommodation, medical checks, podiatry (really essential for those on the street) and also put in touch with all sorts of agencies to be able to move on.Govt said TFL must take all homeless off the streets but provided no funding and as we know Councils are already stretched.It is being operated by St Mungo's and Crisis so if you are interested you could donate to either of these charities.
