Catol in East Sheen was Cato’s until 1991 when it was sold and changed the store name to Catol. It’s still pretty much the same as it was pre the change of ownership both in stock and customer service. It’s an amazing gem of a store where I’ve shopped ‘on and off’ for many years. They’ve remained open during the lockdown albeit with the reduced hours of 10-4 and strictly limiting 2 people only in the store at one time. As I’m shopping for various people who are self isolating I have had to pass the store (or go in) almost daily. There are nearly always people waiting for them to open, or for their turn to go in.... If they have the same luck as me they’ll leave with exactly what they went in for and will have paid a very fair price too. I’ve paid less per item(drill bit, hose connectors, light bulbs, plastic food containers, logs, kindling, compost, cake tin, trellis wire) than I would have had to pay via the internet with postage on top. Plus there’s free parking in Temple Sheen Road just on the corner with Upper Richmond Road you can also call during opening hours to check if they have in stock whatever you're looking for 020 8876 5830
