I live in a house with three flats and none of us have received any post for about 6 days now. Just wondering how everyone else if faring?

Ours seems reasonable - we even got it before lunch time today, posties doing a great job along with many others.

Maybe once/twice a week. I suspect they're struggling. (But my bills still manage to arrive).

Feedback from our postie (Grove Park/SoTG area) is that he is delivering every other day. He also told me that they are manically busy at the moment. His exact words ... it's like Christmas all over again.

Yes, no post for ages, but I’m in Ealing. My spies tell me that in my area there are seven posties off, for whatever reason.

had a package today, and to be honest I am very grateful that we are still getting post and packages at all, I am not taking anything for granted anymore ....
Bit sporadic, different postman walks on the route every day it would appear.

Our postie has been terrific - post most days- Stavely road area

We're getting post on Dukes Ave every couple of days (approx) - a pretty good service, all things considered.

Hmmm? Well, that's odd. I can't believe that out of three flats in Arlington Gardens, none of us have received any post. I see a postman sometimes on the street, so I'll try and nab him tomorrow!

...at long 2m distance...!

I've been getting post as normal throughout the lockdown. I only get post 2 or 3 days a week anyway. Who are these people who get 'bills' in the post? Haven't you heard of paperless?
Susan Kelly ● 2387d
They are struggling.I got a signed for package today that was posted last Tuesday.

Dear Gill, I am sorry you are not receiving any post and understand how you must feel but just enjoy not having to open yet another bill or having to throw away the unwanted junk mail you would normally receive. I thought I would cheer you up and write to you and wish you and your family good health and keep safe and hope you had a good Easter. Best Wishes James S-J

psHappy St Georges Day everyone
Jill, its been a few days since I have received any mail as well. I do hope our postman is well as I have not seen him around

There are loads of staff off in Royal Mail. They have no PPE or even masks yet are expected to go to a claustraphobic sorting office and get our mail. There is a lot of resentment building a. because the few that are left working are being pressured to do more b. because they have no protection c. because we are ordering loads of non-essential stuff which they are risking their lives to deliver.Letters have mostly dried up - they're mainly delivering packages which is a PIA as they have to ring, wait, move on ... which means the rounds are taking longer and the loads are heavier.

I received letter post today and Tuesday, so they're still delivering to Grove Park. Usual postman too, I'm delighted to say.
Micki Hawkes ● 2386d
I've had 3 deliveries this week but I only live a few hundred yards from sorting office.

Still nothing. My neighbour alerted me to a postman (well, postwoman actually) on our street, so I shot out and asked her if she knew why we'd had no post for over a week now. She was very surprised that it had been so long and didn't know why. Poor woman, she was so stressed with trying to deal with all the deliveries. I thanked her for all the good work they're doing and said I hoped we'd get something today, but unfortunately still nothing. I'm waiting for a delivery from Hammermith Hospital where I work part-time as a medical secretary which will enable me to fully work from home. It was posted on Tuesday last week!
Jill Merrett ● 2386d
oh Jill, finger and toes crossed that you'll get your very important item tomorrow!!!
Claudia Jachtmann ● 2386d
Is it a parcel you're expecting? If so, it might be Parcel Force, not your regular post.
Nope, it was sent in the post from the hospital ☹️
What about those letters that everyone was supposed to get from the PM? Has everybody had one or was it just the chosen few?
Philippa Bond ● 2386d
I have not received the Bojo letter yet and am still waiting for the birthday card wot my sister posted, now nearly two weeks overdue.
Keith Iddon ● 2386d
Yep, got the letter ages ago, just reiterating everything we already know.
It would make a good memento if it ever arrived. Happy Birthday Keith. You can just extend your celebrations..
Philippa Bond ● 2385d
Still no post, it's been 10/11 days now, I've lost count.
Jill Merrett ● 2385d
Thank you very much for your kind wishes.I received the late birthday card yesterday, my birthday being on the 12th.It is still good to open a card, even if it does remind me of how old I am!
Keith Iddon ● 2385d
Had to send a cab to get some tablets from the vet in Richmond as they said so much they posted wasn't arriving.
Claire Moran ● 2385d
Just a heads up from my postman, not my regular oneThey are giving Packages priority. They are so run down with so many packets as everyone is switching to home delivery that the amount is too much to include normal post. I had 3 packets delivered and the neighbour had about eight, so you can see the issue That is to say that the normal letter post is not being ignored but possibly letter and packet post is being done alternative days. All is understandable as far as I concerned

Hi thereWhat street do you live down? My wife works out of W4 delivery office, I’ll get her to check for you.
Paul Brown ● 2385d
Just spotted you live in Arlington Gardens. I’ll get her on the case.
Wife spoke to manager Arlington Gardens, should be getting a delivery later in the day.If you want you could message me your address and my wife would check if there’s any mail for you after her own delivery.
Gee, thanks Paul, that would be great! I spoke the postwoman this morning, loads of post for both sides of the house, but nada, zilch, bugger all, sweet FA etc for us!
Hi Paul, I've PM'd you!
If the street is getting a delivery you should be to. Does your building have intercom access? Or the only other thing is the mail might be stuck at the mail centre. Most areas would be getting a delivery every 2 days.
The delivery I was expecting from the hospital posted Monday last week and a letter for someone who moved about 10 years ago! But it's a start! Thank you, Paul, for your input. Very much appreciated.
