BT TV and YouTube

Can anyone help with a BT TV query please?My 80-year-old father-in-law (currently in isolation) has a BT TV Essential pack and recording box.  He'd like to be able to watch YouTube via the box but can't work out how to do so.I called BT and they confirmed that his package and hardware permit him to do this but he couldn't make sense of their instructions.They told him to:- press the Home button- select "Settings"- select "Players & Apps"- select "update Players & Apps"But he says there is no option to "update Players & Apps" in the final step.Does anyone know what we're missing?  I've never used BT TV, so am not much help to him.Thanks!

Instructions are wrong for one and YouTube is not available on BT TV For update of apps which normally does it automatically you press the following YouView button ( blue with a letter Y) scroll to settings scroll to software information and select top right is update players and apps

Thanks Julian!That's really helpful, I'll take him through it tomorrow and see if any interesting apps pop up.
