Sir Peter Blake’s poster for London Stands Together

Sir Peters rainbow of hope for the Evening Standard for us to download and print for putting in our windows.I have posted this previously but it gained little interest and now seems to have disappeared. However he has now produced a series of limited edition prints of the iconic rainbow poster he created for the Evening Standard for which he did not accept any payment and asked instead for donations to be made for a little known charity. The limited edition prints are for raising funds for the Food for London Now appeal.Prints can be ordered at thefelixproject.org / peterblake.

All very nice, but at £1,200 a pop, a little out of my price range.

I have noticed a few of these stuck in the ground, dotted around Chiswick. Are they worth £1200 each!!

The limited edition prints are out of my price range too but would be a very worthwhile investment for those who can afford it.However we can still download and print for free for sticking on our windows and I’ve given several to my neighbours who were all clapping outside last night.Sir Peter designed a rainbow because it’s always been a symbol of hope and children all over the country are now painting their own rainbows for their windows.Sir Peter who is now 87,  has been a much loved Chiswick resident for many years  so it would be good to show our appreciation by putting more of them on our windows.

We were also clapping and banging saucepans last night for a solitary driver of an empty 94 bus and he was quite overwhelmed, slowed down , waved and blew kisses from behind his glass screen and closed doors.

I wish I had a colour printer. I’d normally have used the library.

Could someone else do a print for you?I couldn’t but one of my sons printed some for me and neighbours.

We now hear that the limited edition prints sold out in 9 hours and raised £100.000 for the Felix Trust. Well Done Sir Peter 👏
