Who is concerned about the 5G lamp posts that have been put up around Chiswick?

Has anyone noticed these 5G lamp posts in Chiswick. The lamp posts have little antennas on the top - please have a look at the link and let me know your thoughts:https://youtu.be/qWzIh1OOa8YI can’t seem to attach pictures here but I have these lamps on my street and also noticed a lot on the high road when out shopping yesterday. Please let me know your thoughts.

Not concerned at all as there is not a SINGLE piece of peer-reviewed evidence that 5G present a health risk, not one.
5G has been under development since 2015 and was first deployed in 2018.
There has been plenty of time for any 'negative result' testing or peer-reviewed evidence to emerge.
That there is not a single piece speaks volumes. Even the Karolinska Institute in Sweden. which is probably the most negative and vocal of government bodies when it comes to highlighting health effects of mobile communications is supportive and signed an accord with all Nordic governments even distancing themselves from comments made by a 'former' Karolinska professor , Ole Johansson, who opined the risks but, again,  without any evidence.

I asked Michael in another thread to provide a SINGLE piece of peer-reviewed evidence that there are either health risks associated with 5G or any link between 5G and Covid-19 in support of his claim of associated risks. He has not, as there isn't any. In the meantime, paranoid, ill-informed nutjobs (I make no apology for using that term)  are setting fire to '5G masts' (no such thing as most are upgrades to existing 2G/3G/4G mast sites) which provide vital infrastructure and are used by emergency services for communication since the demise of Airwave.

The little antennae let the lamp posts speak to each other so that only a few need to be adjusted to change lighting times, and they 'tell' their neighbours. Cheaper than hard wiring them together. They've had them since they were installed, what, about five years back?

I graduated from UCL in Applied Physics in 1974. Two things are important here:1) Short wavelength photons are more energetic than long wavelength photons. These are e.g X-rays, gamma rays and are classed as ionising radiation. Radio, microwaves and 5G are long wavelength and are non-ionising.2) The inverse square law.  The radiation you experience at a 10 metre distance is 1/100 of what you receive at 1 metre.As far as I am aware none of these physical laws have changed since 1974.There is a fuller explanation here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/52168096.I think the real problem here is that people assume that radiation has something to do with nuclear weapons or nuclear power. So let's look at what happens in a nuclear reaction. Four sorts of emissions) alpha particles (helium nuclei) 2) beta particles (electrons)3) Gamma  rays (very short-wavelength electromagnetic radiation).  4) neutrinos (literally millions of these pass through your body every second generated by a very large fudion reactor known as the Sun),Long wavelength electromagnetic radiation/photons are not included in this list.Also hasn't changed since 1974.So yes I am unconcerned about 5G, 4G, 3G or 2G electromagnetic waves.

This is all part of the Sontaran plan to annex the Earth to their empire, starting in Hounslow (due to the location of Heathrow, where they will be able to land their invasion fleet) and why they have installed a thinly-disguised Sontaran as head of the local council. ;-)

I suppose the last eight years of my career working with those (private and government departments) testing antenna arrays for 4G and 5G particularly in ensuring that they fully met ICNIRP (International Committee for Non-Ionising Radiation Protection) safety standards before they were deployed were all in vain then. The test results are all in the public domain and EVERY mast site is tested annually and will be immediately taken off-line if there is a hint of a safety breach Not a single site has exceeded 30% (most run at 1-2%) of agreed emission levels.

Do feel free to post again Michael when you have a simple grasp of facts and that SINGLE piece of evidence I requested that you provide!

There is nothing new about morons concocting bonkers theories about the supposedly malign effects of new technology.I myself remember when microwave ovens (first invented in the late 1940's, btw) became widely used in British kitchens in the 1970's, the Michael Browns of the day started all sorts of rumours about the dangers of radiation etc.This was usually something along the lines of "My friend's brother-in-law works in a restaurant and he had to stop because his arm was becoming cooked from using microwaves all the time".And if you read up about the invention of the steam locomotive engine, it was felt that human beings could not withstand travelling at more than 30mph - "It's not natural, we're not designed for such speeds, our bodies will melt."My favourite was: "Female passengers' uteruses will fly out of their bodies as they accelerate to such speeds!"And I daresay if you went back to the invention of the wheel, the caveman next door refused to allow it anywhere near, for fear that we'd all die from rolling downhill the first time we used it to drag our dinner home from the hunt.

Thank you David. Inverse square law does indeed apply which is whey being so significantly lower powered than 3G or 4G more, smaller antennae are needed to deliver 5G
You are more at risk of NI radiation from a poorly-shielded vacuum cleaner motor than from a 5G antenna.
I used to manage a national helpline responding to those who expressed concerns about 'radiation'. Most would contact the helpline on their mobile phones and never appreciated it when it was pointed out to them that to operate mobiles need mobile infrastructure.

It actually takes a day or so to do this as most routers will burn-out when the internal tempaerture reaches around 80 degrees Celcius as it is beyond their design operating spectrum.

Thank you for sharing. I've read through most comments and everyone who has been rude, I really don't think there's any need for it. No one said anything about burning anything down etc - I am a young female on my own and I've seen a lot going around about 5g which has worried me. I am able to walk down the high street to go to the supermarket - to the person that said "if you were that scared you shouldn't be wandering the streets" - I wasn't wandering - walking to Sainsburys from my house is allowed, seriously can't believe I'm even having to explain myself. These comments honestly don't help.I simply asked for people's opinion. I'm just trying to make sense of everything. It is a worrying time for everyone and it's crazy that a lot of people can't give an opinion without rudeness. I really don't see the need - I mean name calling and everything. I'm shocked. We're all supposed to be adults. This is the first time I've posted anything on here, I just wanted to reach out to the community out there to see everyone else's opinion (without the rudeness and sarcasm). I won't be posting again.I honestly wish everyone well and pray everyone stays safe.

The claims being shot down were not your legitimate concerns (where I really hope your fears have been allayed) but the claims made by out (not so) tame conspiracy theorist who tryuly believes, inter alia, that The September 11 attacks were coaused by 'directed energy' weapons That the Parliament Square and London Bridge terrorist attacks were staged by actors. That mass shootings in America never happened He is also a 'disciple' of David Icke who believes we are being ruled by shape-shiting giant lizards. What an absolute load of twaddle!  I lost patience halfway through.He talks about it being a surveillance system and a weapons system - which is it supposed to be?Next, the c**p about 450V capacitors.  If there are capacitors there of this sort of voltage (difficult to tell but quite possible) then they would almost certainly be smoothing capacitors of 415V (because the street light will almost certainly be fed three phase 415V AC power rather than single phase domestic 240V AC) - so not at all unexpected in an LED system which requires DC power. Capacitors of this size would not hold suficient energy to act as any sort of weapons system. Voltage is pretty irrelevant in and of itself - many of us will remember grabbing the terminals of the Van der Graaf generator at the Science Museum which ran at 10s (if not 100s) of thousands) of Volts.Systems like this are constructed in a modular fashion - so one circuit board for the communications (5G?) system and one circuit board for the LED system.  These need to talk to each other - so you have a cable connecting them.  The cables are attached to the circuit boards by reasonably substantial connectors - so the cables need to be of a commensurate size - simple mechanical engineering.The language used is typical of conspiracy theorists - non-specific, accusing anyone who doesn't agree of being ignorant or part of the conspiracy, making substantiated claims (illegal, untested etc.), constant repetition and using pseudo-technical language as a smokescreenIf it were true that these will blind people, you would have thought that you would have seen a huge surge in blindness cases - no such thing.

Sorry to be pedantic, Andrzej, but the terminals you grabbed at the Science Museum were of a Van de Graaf Generator.  Van der Graaf Generator is a legendary rock band who should have been on a tour of Europe from last Saturday, but the tour was cancelled for reasons completely unrelated to 5G masts.  Hope this helps!

A  normal standard lamp post is supplied by a 220 Volt ac single phase supply.In theory the lamp posts are spread over 3 phases, so if for some reason one phase went down you would only lose  A third of the lights, the other two thirds would remain on. Mind you if a digger hits a cable or a joint blows up, the you lose the lot.
