Please Don't Forget Animal Charities in Dire Straits
All responsible animal charities have suspended rehoming as they can't do home checks or even safely hand animals over. Therefore there are thousands upon thousands of animals that still need food and care, mostly from unpaid volunteers who are risking their health by going into these centres. Most operate on a shoestring and have no reserves, the rehoming fee is their only lifeline and if they are not rehoming they still have food, laundry, premises, emergency vet bills etc to pay. Please consider a small donation to an animal rescue of your choice. Even £5.00 a month on standing order can save the lives of animals who otherwise will be killed. Happy to suggest some local shelters if required. It was the horrific exploitation of animals that likely caused this. The very least we can do is help those still alive.
