For what it’s worth I really like the Chiswick Sainsburys

A lot of people post here about issues they have with the Chiswick Sainsburys.  I understand that some things have been problematic and have annoyed people.  However, I personally feel it’s a great store for so many reasons including:-  It’s the perfect size.  I get around it in less than half an hour.-  It’s got everything I need.-  Almost all the staff are nice and many recognise me.  I can’t comment on the manager because after 20+ years I still don’t know who that is.-  I can easily walk to it.-  The isle with the “other world” items (or whatever that weird isle is called) always has interesting stuff.  Dried cod?  Jamaican sesame snaps?  Cheap chick peas?  Always entertaining.-  The fresh multi seed brown bread from the bakery is good.  Thick sliced.-  All the Sainsburys Own stuff is good.-  Argos is right there for pickup.I could go on and on.  I’m from the USA and every time I go back there and shop it takes forever because the supermarkets are massive.  Our Sainsburys is excellent and well run in my opinion.  Sorry to all you folk who disagree!!!Joe

Joe - I agree.  The staff go out of their way to be helpful and kind.With the crisis going on around us I thought people would moan less but that's certainly not happening.

The staff is usually friendly with a few exceptions,They have most things (although they stopped some products way before the lock down) The toilets were always dire, but it is easy to reach without a car, just use another supermarket if you find it unbearable

Hi Joethanks for your kind words. My better half used to work 12.5 years for TESCO just to stock up items.It is a very hard job and the pay is redicioulous. They got treated like s****.  Every day 30min more long hours, no pay.So its nice that you have this kind words.Yes, I love the ilse ''world food''. But thats why we came to live in London: it is the most diversy city (for us) in the world, we love it, we love the people here. So much acceptance for everyone, however dffrent we are,Thank you xxx

Have always valued Sainsbury's in Chiswick while using local independents as an alternative where possible. The staff are always friendly and helpful. However, what is clear is that at a national level the company was too slow to react to the developing crisis. Someone in manangement should have been implementing measures to avoid huge non-socially distanced queues and hoarding. There were plenty of examples of how to do this from supermarkets in Italy and Spain as the crisis developed. Those crowded supermarkets from ten days ago are likely to prove to have been major spreaders of the infection. Sainsbury's will have seen a huge surge in income at the same time so they should be considering carefully what they do with any surpluses generated.

I visited Sainsbury's for the first time in a week and was impressed by the helpfulness and friendliness of the staff. Also, now that bog-roll madness seems to have passed, the shelves were well-stocked again.

Just been to the big Tesco store in Isleworth and have to say how cheerful and helpful all the staff were and they are all a credit to the companyNo queues at all due the staff and a great selection inside
