5 Guys and other sites still working

I've seen building work is still going on at the new 5 guys site. Is this really 'essential' work? There's also a house being rebuilt opposite Good Boy coffee, around 17:00 on Monday, 6 or 7 workers were all standing around outside chatting, no distancing at all, even passing things to each other and shaking hands!

Many people who are still working on construction sites at the moment are also living in close proximity to each other in HMOs so there is little point in them social distancing at work. They can't get back to their home countries and would be in severe financial difficulties if they stopped work. It isn't clear how them continuing to work provides any additional danger to others.

Unlikely. They have tools to carry. Most will be brought in a van.
