Lock down parties

I’m reading about people hosting/attending parties this weekend. Do we congratulate them on their Dunkirk spirit in the face of adversity? Do we politely ask that they refrain from such close proximity social interactions? Do we punish them for their actions which may risk some, them and others, being exposed to this virus?Or do we ask why the government and Johnson have been so negligently dismissive of the risks and impact of this virus until a week ago?

Report them to the police. Irresponsible and dangerous. Plod have been out in force tonight dispersing groups of young lads. I don’t think it’s that they don’t understand the risk, they simply don’t care and think it’s all a bit of a joke 😡

As far as I’ve read it was an isolated incident.  At least I hope this is the case. What sort of people would organise or attend such an event, and bring children along?  People who have this macho pride about being too tough to be infected, people who think they don’t need to listen to expertise as per Michael Gove’s encouragement, and mindless optimists (idiots, to use the technical term).  But it’s hard to see it as anything other than sociopathic since it is almost bound to increase the spread of infection and the inevitable lethal consequences.

They should all be sentenced to doing a 12 hour shift in full kit at one of the isolating hospitals.  Cleaning, fetching and carrying don’t require skills but could be eye opening to the selfish.

The silly thing is it's themselves, their family and friends they put at risk.  Then they go home and incubate.
