Notice - Strand on the Green Post Office

A special notice to let you know that, in order to minimise Covid-19 risks, Strand on the Green Post Office will be shut tomorrow and open on Monday from 2pm to 5.30pm only. Please note that if you have any Special Delivery items, please come before 3pm on Monday as that is the last collection by Royal Mail.My mother will be speaking with the Post Office again on Monday where Strand on the Green Post Office may either be shut for 2 weeks or be open but with reduced hours. To confirm, my mother does not have Covid-19 symptoms. However, she is in a high-risk group as she is nearly 70 and has lung fibrosis. It's a difficult balancing act between looking after her health and supporting the community via the Post Office that she dearly loves.I'll provide an update on the back of my mother's conversation with the Post Office on Monday.

Quite. Mrs Joshi is a local legend. Please take care of her and make sure she takes care of herself.

I've only been there once to pick up a parcel, and Mrs Joshi was an absolute delight.I hope she stays safe, and if that means closing the PO for the foreseeable, then so be it.

We are all being very mindful of your lovely mum and shielding her as best we can.  I'm glad she's closing 3-13 April to minimise the risk to her health. I hope she stays well and will give her a huge hug as soon as we're allowed to again.Helle x
