Rip off alert - Bobby Food, Fauconberg Road, Grove Park

You should all know that in these dark times Bobby Foods on Fauconberg Road, Grove Park have inflated their prices massively to take advantage of the panic buying. An Andrex Classic 16 roll pack is selling there for £15.99 (usual price in Sainsburys = £8.95). That is a 79% mark up. Well done Bobby Foods for ripping us off in our county's darkest hours....

Supermarkets often use particular products as loss leaders - low prices to bring customers in - the supermarkets are known to do this with milk in particular. They also place the basic essentials in totally different areas of the store so that you have to walk all around the store.  That's marketing.

I hope you all remember this when we are all back to normal, do not forget how you were treated during this awful time, how we were taken advantage of, stay away do not shop with them again put the vermin out of service.

Very well said Julie.
I will also though remember the exemplary service from Waitrose in West Ealing who are going out of their way to help the disabled, vulnerable and NHS workers with smiles that seem unbroken and 'greeters' at the door.
