BBC Reports that 1/5 of small and medium sized businesses collapsing equates to 800,000 to 1 million businesses; and whatever the figure is, it will only increase. What impact will this have on peoples’ financial futures, lives and health? If the lockdown lasts for months, what affect will this have on peoples’ mental wellbeing? To date, this year, there have been 318,000 and 213,000 psychiatric and suicide deaths reported, respectively, worldwide versus 44,000 deaths reported from coronavirus.Flu fatality rates in the UK vary from season to season, and have been less than 2,000 in recent seasons, but in 2014/15, the figure was 28,330. Does anyone recall any hysteria? Were businesses shut down and everyone put under house arrest? A 13 year old boy was reported as dying from Covid-19 yesterday, which the mainstream media slammed in our faces all day, and it’s still headlines, today. Sad news, but how many teenagers died of other illnesses yesterday? How many teenagers died during the 2014/15 Flu season? There are still no deaths from Covid-19 reported worldwide of children below the age of 12; so should Covid-19 be considered a major threat to the young? When we look at the bigger picture, as opposed to what the mainstream media is ramming down our throats all day, the government's response is questionable; it’s even questionable when we look at the coronavirus figures in isolation; so what’s it all about?
