The lack of a studio audience this week really brought home how painfully unfunny this has become.

The same with NewsJack. The Last Leg did quite well without an audience but the bar there is pretty low anyway.

I thought the Now Show was fine. The problem for me is that I'm trying to do other things always at the same time so I like to hear it twice. It is however based on the news which right now is mainly one worrying subject.I haven't laughed so much in years as I did the other night watching (or half watching) Meet the Richardsons.

Lucy Beaumont (Mrs. Richardson) is wonderfully funny and if you haven't heard 'To Hull and Back' with the treasure that is Maureen Lipman do try to find it on BBC Sounds
