HAND GEL SMALL SIZE £9.99 - ARCH HARDWARE STORE

Was buyin a light bulb today and in the window of this shop on Kind Street W6 they had a posted "Hand gel - limited stock".  When I was at the counter I saw the tiny little bottles of hand gel on the counter.  I asked if i could have two (one for me and one for my daughter) and they said yes.  When ringing up my purchases it came to over £33 !!! because the gels were charged at £9.99 each - bargain!!!!  I bought them because I need them but I felt a little sad that yet another shop is profiteering from its locals instead of doing the right thing.  But if you hurry you may get the last few - or of course you could just tell them to stick them somewhere and not shop there anymore which is what I shall probably do when this nightmare is over.

Make your own with aloe vera gel and ethanol?

Conflicted on this. Profiteering is not great but retailers are likely to be facing a drop in custom so it may be what they need to do to stay in business.

Name and shame price gourgers. That’s the second local business that lost my business. Shameful. And a shame for them as I spend a lot more there than £9.99.

There is no need to depend on hand sanitiser.  Thorough washing with soap and water is generally rated a better approach.
