Public transport

Is it not strange that Sadiq Khan should reduce public transport to a weekend schedule creating  fuller tubes and buses at exactly the time we are told to 'social-distance'.Tube and bus drivers are protected from contact with the public so there is minimal risk to employees. But what about the key workers who need to travel.We know that Khan has blown the TfL budget, but to try and save money now seems to go against public health facts.

Saturday service is what Sadiq said yesterday evening.  Tube traffic already down 20%, bus traffic 10%.  That was before the 'social distancing' policy came in. Also bus and Tube drivers can get the virus from their families so it seems a very reasonable decision to me, given that some staff will be in self-isolation pretty soon.

Some staff are already in self isolation.  There were train cancellations yesterday.Looking at the pictures this morning, you will have plenty of space around you even with a Saturday service.
