Getting your priorities right

I was in Waitrose in West Ealing yesterday and it looked very much as if people had been panic buying wine boxes.

I get my morning papers in the nearby ASDA, and one of my neighbours who I bumped into on the way back, said that there isn't a biscuit or an egg to be had in there, what is wrong with people? Surely if this situation is going to continue for months then common sense should tell them that this stupidity is pointless? We need to ensure steady and adequate supplies for everyone are maintained.

All the major supermarkets report that their own supply arrangements are perfectly normal, they're not short of anything in their warehouses. The problem is caused entirely by the selfish morons who think that the world will end if they don't have enough loo paper hoarded away to wipe their backsides for the next five years.

Biscuits, maybe, but eggs? They're only good for a couple of weeks and it's not as if you can freeze them. Much better to steal some chickens!

Out of curiosity I've just checked the Ocado website.....there are 8357 people waiting in the queue with a wait time guide of "about two hours"!
