W4 Forum suddenly very fast?

Is it just me or is the forum suddenly supaerfast? Used to take me forever to go through the posts as they too so long to open.

Are you sure your broadband supplier hasn't given you an upgrade ? I don't find the forum speed has changed significantly.

It's a lot faster.The downside of that is that people won't give up on those ridiculous arguments because they have reached 150 posts and t takes too long to open.  The 500 post cycling thread is probably on the way!Hopefully this is a precursor to some more modern forum software.

I'm with TalkTalk for my sins, used for phone, broadband and internet but do not have a TT box for TV, don't need one as TV seems to cope with my simple needs BBC & ITV, including i-Player and the ITV catch up but also have a slew of other programmes if wanted.  Humax records any programmes if I'm out or away from the TV.    I ue the computer for emails and internet for maps, directions, searching other items and some shopping.  Not the speediest of services but it fills my needs.  However, TT keeps trying to enlist me into their security services and their cookies (none of which I want).  They also keep  banging on about faster fibre  which so far I've resisted.  Do I need to upgrade to Fibre in Grove Park and how much difference does it actually make?

If you aren't gaming online, then streaming video will probably be the most demanding thing you are doing.  If that's ok then I wouldn't worry.If you aren't already, when you want to view in 4k then you might need a faster connection.It does depend on how many users there are in the house.  Between me, my wife, and my daughters there can be a lot of devices in use.  That's when you might need a faster connection.

On that note AlI would atleast check how much your paying as im thinking on looking that the 38mb fibre basic package could be not that much more than your paying now for inferior broadband. And your contract is most likely old and possibly an old price your paying on a rolling monthly payment which could be more than the £19.95 a month it is now Broadband £19.95 a month 38MB fibre £22.95 a month

I agree, normally much faster but in recent weeks it sometimes doesn't refresh at all (just happened to me again)Someone interfering with the elastic band?
