Capital Motors just off  Devonshire Road W4

I have been using them for as long as they have been a garage. That could be as long as 30 years +Does anyone know when Paul opened this garage?A truly special, honest, knowledgeable and trustworthy business. What they have there is a special hand picked team by the owner, he looks after his staff and they look after you the customers. It's not often that you can say that "I trust everything that a garage tells you" !!!

I remember the first time I used him some 15 + years ago and thought to myself, um not sure about him but you are right, a no nonsense guy and has looked after my cars ever since and long may he remain.

Yes, he’s wonderful

Paul and his team have looked after my car for over a decade - great service and trust them implicitly

Another extremely satisfied customer nothing is ever too much trouble, and they just get on with the MOT and then we all disappear for another year, long may it last

Possibly the only garage in the world where they positively hate taking money off you. I have used them for years and lost count of the times I have been advised not to waste money on my old bangers (or emerging classics as I prefer to call them). Sometimes I have had to insist! He reluctantly got my daughter's Ford Ka through its MoT just now but she was told in no uncertain terms to get rid before the next MoT is due and to bring her next prospective purchase to him for inspection prior to buying another pig in a poke.

I had a quote from Capital Motors for some bodywork repairs, including a new rear light cluster, that was half the cost given by Mercedes Brentford.Lovely job and when I was presented with the bill there was a £100 deduction as they had mistakenly based the original estimate on a more expensive of a different Mercedes model than mine.I was well pleased with the original quote and would never have known about the retail costs of the parts so a huge plus mark for their honesty and integrity - along with the workmanship

yeah they are great, and until I saw previous remarks didn't realise everything thought so

When Abundance was preparing the tree pits on Devonshire Road, they kindly stored the steel rims for us until we were ready. Very nice of them.

Had a call from them just yesterday, reminding me about my MOT being due.  Wonderful service but he doesn't hold back from telling you what he thinks about your car.  He used to regularly drag my (proper) old mini back from the brink, despite telling me it was a load of rubbish.  Oh how I miss it.

Popping in to see Paul this week to see if he will recommend or not the life extension of my 18 year old Mercedes....A wee rust issue! I hope that I catch him in a good frame of mind and smiling as he mostly does!!!

Would never go anywhere else. A Chiswick legend!

Paul once found a reason not to charge me for some work, so I took some cake in for him and the boys the following day. Is he the owner?

Michael Brown ● 2432d

Yes, he is the owner and his wife helps there as well. She comes in during the week and prepares lunch for the boys.I do not recall one of his staff ever leaving. They repay his loyalty by expanding on that loyalty and more. He treats them as if they were family. There are not many that do what he does, a real example to be admired.

Paul was brilliant coping with my rather stressed temperament post having my catalytic converter stolen (from outside my house!). It was replaced at half the cost compared to a Honda Cat and they even added some thick wire netting at no extra cost to try and deter said criminals next time. We always get our services and MOT's done by Paul and wouldn't go anywhere else.

I'm yet another satisfied customer and Paul has dealt with everything car related for me for several years — and he didn't like me owning an old peugot 207cc but approves of my current car!  In fact I just popped in because my hand brake brakes are sticking so will be going in on Thursday.  I told him about his forum fan club!  He seemed quietly chuffed to hear about it.  He once said to me he has never advertised — he only wants business by word of mouth and he gets plenty.  He does everything right as far as I am concerned.

i took my old car in for an emergency repair on a Saturday morning as i needed it that afternoon and i got the usual leave it with me and i will try and sort it for you. An hour after closing he suggested i come down to pick it up, sorted and good to go. As i was settling up i asked him what was his favourite tipple to which he replied," if you get rid of that motor, i will buy you a tipple yeah!" nuff said
