Ealing Property Sales - May 2014
House on Woodville Gardens becomes area's sixth most expensive
Property prices and sales in Ealing remain buoyant according to the latest figures from the Land Registry.
During the month of May there were 48 sales in the W5 post code area at an average price of £677,725. Seven of these were for over a million, the highest priced being a house on Woodville Gardens which became the area's sixth most expensive home.
In West Ealing (W13) there were 25 sales during the month at an average of £550,532 of which two were for over a million. The top priced here was a property on Colebrooke Avenue which change hands for £ 1,510,000.
The average price in London during the month of May was £439,719 which is up by 18.5% compared with the same month in 2013. For England and Wales as a whole the average is now £172,035 compared with the peak of £181,383 in November 2007 up by 6.7%.
The most up-to-date figures available show that during June 2014 the number of completed house sales in England & Wales increased by 11 per cent to 73,158 compared with 66,123 in June 2013.
The number of properties sold in England and Wales for over £1 million in March 2014 increased by 28 per cent to 840 from 657 in March 2013.
The latest reported sales are given in the table below. The numbers below are subject to revision as is it usual that some properties are added late to the Land Registry's database.
