A group of veteran musicians will perform at The Playhouse, The Questors Theatre in Ealing on Thursday 13 November in a one-night tribute to the iconic Marquee Club, a venue long associated with the rise of British rock and pop.

The Marquee Club All Star Band features a line-up led by Mel Gaynor, best known as the drummer for Simple Minds, and Gus Isidore, a guitarist who has worked with artists including Mark Bolan, Peter Gabriel and Seal. The ensemble aims to recreate the atmosphere and sound of the original Marquee Club, which hosted performances by acts such as The Rolling Stones, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, and David Bowie during its heyday.

The show will include two 45-minute sets with an interval, and is suitable for audiences aged 10 and over. Alongside Gaynor and Isidore, the band includes vocalist Nic Billington, guitarist Adam Day (associated with Elton John and Simply Red), and bassist Dave Boyce (formerly of Samson and Heavy Pettin).

The Marquee Club, which operated in various London locations from the 1950s to the 1990s, is widely regarded as a formative venue in the development of British rock music. The upcoming performance in Ealing is presented by JPSM Management on behalf of Marquee Records.

The event is scheduled to begin at 7:30pm. Tickets and further details are available via The Questors Theatre box office or on the venue's web site.
