Local Children's Author Features at National Read a Book Day Event

Ealing families are invited to step into a world of stories and creativity this Sunday as Ealing Broadway teams up with Waterstones and local children’s author Mariesa Dulak to celebrate National Read a Book Day with a free, book-themed event in the Town Square.
Running from 11.30am to 12.30pm on Sunday 6 September, the session will bring Mariesa’s storytelling to life with readings, crafts and hands-on creative activities designed for young children and their families. The event is completely free and requires no booking — visitors can simply stop by.
To mark the occasion, the centre is also launching a competition offering the chance to win a signed copy of Mariesa’s picture book Ice Cream Crocodile, along with a £40 Waterstones voucher. Details on how to enter are available on the Ealing Broadway website.
Andrew Rollings, centre director at Ealing Broadway, said, “We’re always looking for ways to bring free, family-friendly experiences to Ealing Broadway, and National Read a Book Day is a great opportunity to celebrate the joy of reading here at the centre,” he said. “We’re pleased to be working with Waterstones and Mariesa Dulak to host this special story time session, giving families the chance to enjoy brilliant books, crafts and creative activities as part of their Sunday visit. With no booking required, we’d encourage visitors to stop by, settle in and join us outside Tesco Express for a fun morning that helps bring stories to life for little ones.”
