Thousands of runners will take to the streets this Sunday for the 15th anniversary of the Wizz Air Ealing Half Marathon, and the celebrations start on Saturday.
The race was founded in 2012 as a legacy of the London Olympic and Paralympic Games. It now has a three-year title partnership with Wizz Air. On Sunday 27 September, runners will follow a course through Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger and Hanwell, starting on Culmington Road and finishing in Walpole Park.

Race Day: The Details
Start and finish
The race starts on Culmington Road and finishes in Walpole Park, at the heart of the Race Village. The address is Walpole Park, Mattock Lane, W5 5EQ. Before the start, Everlast Gyms Chiswick, the Official Warm Up Partner, will lead a group warm-up in the Race Village.
The route
The course starts and ends in Walpole Park and takes in Central Ealing, Montpelier, Pitshanger and Hanwell. The route map shows mile markers throughout, with water stations, rest points and toilets marked along the way. The full route map and race guide are available on the event website.

Water, first aid and refreshments
Toilets
Organisers ask runners to use the official facilities rather than bushes or parks.
Headphones
Bone-conducting earphones are permitted, but organisers recommend running without headphones so you can hear marshals' instructions and enjoy the atmosphere from residents and supporters along the 13.1 miles.
Cut-off time
The cut-off is three hours. Runners still on the course after that won't be stopped, but they'll be asked to move onto the pavements so roads can reopen. Your medal will be waiting at the finish either way.
Road Closures
Roads on the route will close in stages from early morning and reopen as the field passes. Roads off the route will also be affected, so local residents should plan their movements for Sunday morning. Further information for residents is on the event's local info page. All reopening times below are estimates.

Where to Watch
The Race Village in Walpole Park will be busiest at the start and finish. Organisers suggest four other vantage points, some of which see runners pass twice:
Expect bands, DJs and performers along the course, with residents playing their part in what organisers call the "Ealing Feeling".
Food, Drink and After-Race Plans
The Race Village will have catering for runners and spectators, including coffee, street food and the event's popular ice cream van. New this year, Tonkotsu Ealing is the Post-Race Restaurant Partner, with offers in the finisher e-goody bag. Waterdrop, the Official Hydration Partner, will also be in the Race Village. Pub partners The Globe Brentford and The Castle Inn Ealing are bringing back their BBQ, and both pubs will be serving a carvery for post-race celebrations.
Volunteers Still Wanted
About 40 more volunteers are needed along the route. Volunteers get a free place in next year's race and an entry into a prize draw. Sign up at ealinghalfmarathon.com/volunteer, where you can also register to help at the 2027 event once this year's race has finished.
Giving Back
The official charity partners for 2026 are Meadow House Hospice and Shooting Star Children's Hospices. The event's charity arm, WeRunEaling, runs community running initiatives, many of them free and open to all abilities.
