Top Chefs Showcasing in Ealing

Charlottes W5 plays host to some culinary big names

Some of the areas finest chefs Henry Harris, Atul Kochhar, Angela Malik and Rowley Leigh will be showcasing their cooking prestige at a series of Guest Chef suppers at Charlottes W5 in June.

Each chef will bring something new to the table each Tuesday in June:

• Henry, an Acton resident, will focus on his rich French heritage from his time at the helm at Knightsbridge’s Racine. Expect rustic French plates and big flavours.

• Rowley, also an Actonian, ran Le Café Anglais and is now at the helm at Parabola, at the Design Museum in Kensington, and will be creating a beautifully rustic Italian menu, including cicchetti for grazing, Mozzarella in carrozza, and a main course of whole shoulder of Middlewhite Pork braised in milk and sage, and various other delights.

• Atul, an Isleworth resident for many years, will be bringing his Indian fine dining to Ealing for the first time, reflecting his years of work at the helm of hugely successful restaurants such as Mayfair’s Benares. He will be serving up a tasting menu of exotic dishes of Grilled Prawn moilee with vermicelli and Chargrilled Lamb Rump with Rogan jus and sprouting broccoli, amongst other jewels.

• · Angela – an Acton local for many years and a Great British Menu chef – will create a menu that reflects Ealing’s melting pot of cultures – Punjabi Indian, Polish and Middle Eastern, and will be using Ealing producers throughout her menu, such as Ealing Honey.

Alex Wrethman, owner of Charlotte’s Group, says of the events, “West London is jam packed with wonderful food and drink, but we are often overlooked by other ‘trendier’ parts of London! We are proud to have three restaurants which sit in the centre of this historic culinary heartland, so what better way to celebrate these chefs than to invite them all in and let them flex their cooking muscles to new and existing customers.”
