Palletline London has been formally recognised for its sustained contribution to tackling food poverty in Ealing, after three years of dedicated support for the borough’s foodbank. The Perivale-based logistics company has played a role in ensuring donated food reaches households in need, providing a vehicle and driver to collect supplies from supermarkets and transport them to Ealing Foodbank’s warehouse and distribution centres.

The foodbank’s latest annual report highlights the scale of demand across the borough. In 2025, Ealing Foodbank received 119 tonnes of donated food and purchased a further 79 tonnes of essential items. Together, these supplies enabled volunteers to distribute enough provisions for 335,448 meals, supporting 23,962 adults and 13,306 children. Palletline London assisted throughout the year, moving goods between Tesco branches, the foodbank’s eight centres, and even supporting operations at Slough Foodbank.

Over the same period, 15,614 emergency food parcels were issued, each designed to provide three days of balanced meals. Beyond food distribution, the foodbank’s 350-plus volunteers held more than 1,800 signposting conversations, helping people access support with debt, benefits and other challenges. These interventions generated an additional £839,059 for residents seeking advice.

The report expresses “big thanks to Palletline” for its logistical support. Ucal McLeod, General Manager of Palletline London, said the company was proud to contribute to an organisation facing “significant and sustained demand from people who never imagined they would need to ask for help.” He praised staff across the business for their commitment to supporting local communities, adding that the company’s resources and expertise allow it to make “a practical difference” to thousands of people in hardship.

Palletline London is part of Palletline, the UK’s first premium palletised freight distribution network, founded in 1992 and now operating seven logistics businesses nationwide.
