Wholefood Store Transforms into Carpet Shop
New tenant now being sought for former Lloyds Bank building
The unit is now being marketed to 'experienced retailers'

Naturelia, the wholefood store which opened in the vacant former Lloyd’s Bank premises in September of last year has completed its transformation into a carpet shop.
Earlier this year around half the space was given over to selling home furnishings and more recently this activity took over most of the unit with only a few shelves at the back still stocking foodstuffs.
We haven’t been able to contact the store’s owner for an update. Originally job ads for staff for the store were place in the name of Cherry Organic Ltd. which is registered at the same address.
When the store opened the sole director was Sebahattin Kemal, a Bulgarian national, who was associated with the Kew Wholefoods shop on Sandycombe Road. He has since been replaced as director by Saziye Karahan.
What is clear is that the building is once again being marketed to new tenants despite the continued occupation. Whitman & Co are now advertising the 3,144 sq ft corner unit to let, with an annual rent of £160,000. The agents say the space might suit a high-quality food operator and are seeking an established tenant, with offers invited from ‘experienced retailers’.
The corner unit which was built in 1903 was refurbished at a cost of £420,000 after the departure of the bank.
